The regulated VPG vane pump supplies exactly the right amount of oil and pressure that is needed for shifting and coupling in passenger car transmissions. In addition, the VPG also supplies the transmission components with oil for lubrication and cooling.

Function
Energy-saving pump for maximum transmission performance
The VPG transmission pump consists of an optional housing, cover, front plate, shaft and a rotor set. The rotor set is comprised of a rotor, radially-guided blades in the rotor as well as the cam ring and outer ring.
The position of the cam ring is hydraulically adjustable. The VPG behaves like an unregulated pump up to a defined control point. As soon as this control point is reached, the position of the cam ring is adjusted and the volume flow is regulated to the preset value. The decreased delivery volume reduces the power consumption, which lowers the system temperature in the transmission.
